- Course: Communication Networks and Managing Information
- Professor: Dr. Ed Powers
Analyzed effective communication practices and the elements of strategic messaging. We compared and contracted the impact of communication networks on organizational performance, based on an understanding of how vertical, horizontal and external communication networks using the textbook Beyond the Babble. For this course we evaluated and selected appropriate media for specific case study like Ogilvy's Charolette Beer's and her story of how she united Ogilvy Worldwide. Designed a communications strategy that optimized the flow of information through communication networks and supports organizational objectives by leveraging digital media for Ogilvy. Also used management tools like Gantt Charts to build a project timeline for her potential campaigns. Through the course we gathered critical thinking skills to interpreted messages, networks and media through real-life scenarios implementing analysis, dialogue, and reflection.
